What's involved in a boiler service?

STANDARD BOILER SERVICE

Condensing boilers: This service involves most of the full scope service, but the fan/burner may not removed and so the main combustion chamber seal may not need to be replaced. If you have had a full scope service on your condensing boiler within the last year, then a standard service may be recommended (dependant on condition and subject to satisfactory flue gas analysis). A full service report and flue gas analyser results will be supplied.

FULL SCOPE BOILER SERVICE

Depending on the age, condition and service history of your condensing boiler, it may or may not need a full scope service. The decision to carry out this service is based on specific product maintenance requirements which we can advise prior to booking a service. This is a full strip down service of your condensing boiler. Serviced to manufacturer’s instructions, it includes checking gas rates, checking/cleaning of ignition electrodes and flame rectification probes, checking expansion vessel charges and removal of fan/burner and cleaning the inside of the main heat exchanger, cleaning and refilling of condense trap, new combustion door seal where required, checking of CO/CO2/RATIO with a flue gas analyser in high and low fire modes and resetting air/gas ratios when and where necessary.

NON CONDENSING & STANDARD EFFICIENCY BOILER SERVICE

This service includes a full strip down service, removal and cleaning of burner/injectors and fan, cleaning of heat exchanger and combustion chamber, checking all parts and components for wear and tear, checking and recharging of expansion vessel where necessary, checking and setting of burner pressures, check flame picture, gas rate of appliance, and flue gas analysis checks. A full service report and flue gas analyser results will be supplied.
