BOILER INSTALLATION IN HESWALL, WIRRAL
This recent project involved decommissioning and removing an exising Ideal Isar boiler, and installing this modern Vaillant Ecotec Plus 832 boiler in the loft space. The new boiler was installed with a vertical flue, giving us the ability to install in the roof space. The existing heating controls were relatively new so they were re-used as requested by the customer. On completion, a building regulations compliance certificate as issued and the installation registered with Vaillant for a 10 year manufacturer's guarantee
GAS FIRE FAULT IN LIVERPOOL
Gas Fire Fault in Liverpool: On a routine boiler service for a customer in Liverpool, the customer asked if it was possible to take a look at their gas fire they had recently had installed. On initial visual inspection, excessive sooting could be seen, and on lighting the appliance it was fairly obvious that the case seal was damaged causing products of combustion to escape into the room. The fire has now been disconnected, and a visit has been arranged by the original installer to rectify the problem.
REPLACEMENT RADIATOR VALVES IN GREASBY
A recent job replacing some radiator valves as the existing valves were failing. The heating system was drained down, new valves fitted, and then re-filled with some Sentinel corrosion inhibitor fluid added for protection against sludge and debris build-up. If your system doesn't have a suitable corrosion inhibitor, the water in the heating system will be corrosive and react with the mixed metals in your boiler and radiator, causing a black sludge called magnetite. The boiler was also serviced as requested by the customer
EMERGENCY CALL-OUT IN MORETON, WIRRAL
A Saturday morning call out to trace and repair a gas leak which had left the customer disconnected by the gas emergency service provider. Initial testing quickly proved a passing gas valve on their Potterton boiler. A replacement gas valve from our local merchants and they were back up and running within 2 hours 🙂
⚠️If you think you can smell gas, call the gas emergency service provider on 0800 111 999. This is a free service to make safe until a gas safe registered engineer can attend to rectify the issue.
VAILLANT BOILER AND UNVENTED CYLINDER INSTALLATION
Vaillant boiler and unvented cylinder installation with secondary return hot water, Nest smart heating controls, and upgraded heating pipework.
Secondary return hot water systems are installed to reduce the amount of time you need to run a hot tap before the water comes through hot. Instead of the hot water having to come all the way from a boiler or cylinder, there is a loop of preheated pipework ready to deliver hot water to your taps immediately. Commonly used in hotels and luxury homes, it’s a great addition to any home undergoing renovation work. This installation was carried out as part of a large extension in West Kirby, Wirral.
Further electrical works to be completed for immersion/fused spur. The customer opted for a high efficiency Vaillant EcoTEC+ boiler, which comes with a 10 year guarantee for peace of mind.
